Washington Post is reporting today that American casualties in Iraq are averaging 10 wounded per day since the war began. Why hasn't there been a story on the wounded until now? Where is the concern? Where's the outrage? How can this NOT be reported? Over 6,000 Americans have been wounded thus far. How many are permanently crippled or destined to be chronically ill? Didn't we learn anything with Vietnam? We can not guarantee a happy ending for anyone. Not for Iraq. Not for Afghanistan. Not for the United States. Condoleesa Rice announced last week that we will very likely need to maintain a strong military presence in the Middle East for at least one generation. That means 20 more years. How many more 25 year old Americans need to die in Iraq/ the Middle East before we say enough is enough? (Posted by California Steven)
