Something banal this way comes.
Of course one has to question the motives of the buyer and ask the obvious: "Is this casino's target market exactly those people who would be interested in Mary on a cheese sandwich?" Is the casino targeting those gullible souls willing to cling to the far-fetched possibility that it *is* the Virgin on that bread, just as they are willing to cling to gambling odds that always favor the house? The second question I would ask is this: Is this one of those quirky, beautiful little things that makes life interesting, or is it one of those scary, horrible things that undermines one's faith in humanity? Both possibly valid views I think.
Very thoughtful questions. A third question might be, who has an extra $28,000 to give up on a sandwich? ;)
